WHAT IS PILATES PLUS?

Simply put, Pilates + is a combination of weight training & Pilates. Pilates + combines the best of both: the strengthening and toning benefits of weight training and the lengthening and postural enhancing benefits of Pilates in a circuit training sequence. Pilates + keeps the heart rate up and burns extra calories. Depending on your fitness level you can expect to burn 500 to 700 calories in a single class! The routines incorporate “old school” exercise like pushups & lunges; however, the support of the Megaformer eliminates pressure on the joints and the spine which in turn eliminates extra stress on the body.

 I HAVE NEVER DONE PILATES, CAN I DO THE CLASSES? OR SHOULD I START WITH PRIVATE SESSIONS FIRST? 

 It depends on your current fitness level, 99% of our new clients do fine in the classes. The workout is intense but the routine is kept simple to make sure everyone is using good form. However, if you have chronic back pain, painful joints or severe medical condition, it is recommended to take a private session first to assess your fitness level.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO CLASS?

·         First and foremost bring a Positive Attitude! Leave all your worries behind. The class is for you. You need to be present minded when working out to maximize the benefits of the class.

·         Bring a Towel you will most likely sweat.

·         Some clients like to bring their own water, but in case you run out the door without it, we do provide water @ the studio which is available for purchase.

·         Wear loose, comfortable clothes that allow your muscles to stretch and your skin to “breathe”.

·         Toe soxs are required to take ALL MEGA classes. This is for your safety and to give you some extra grip on the Megaformer, we supply themses @ the studio for purchase but you can also buy them online and pick them up before class.

·         Jewelry is NOT a good idea. Your necklace may catch in the springs ( a nightmare to undo), and you may forget or lose it. It creates too many opportunities for disaster, but wearing jewelry is a choice for you to make.

·         No cell phones during classes (please be respectful of others).

·         No strong perfumes as some students are allergic.

·          If you are about renew, please bring your payment. Most of our clientele pay online using our automated system. Please understand that NO classes can be confirmed if you’re not prepaid.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I PRACTICE PILATES +?
The workout is designed to work your body to muscle fatigue at which point you need to rest. Depending on your fitness level and the intensity of your workout, you will need more or less time to recover. We recommend 3-4 times a week to allow your body to properly recover and repair. But some clients love the workout so much that they come 5 or 6 times a week. Listen to your body, it knows best!

WHAT ARE THE CANCELLATION POLICY/NO SHOW FEES?

Even if it’s your first time, we absolutely require an 12-hour cancellation notice before making any kind of changed to your schedule. This must be done through our on-line system to avoid these late charges. There are NO EXCEPTIONS! 

PLEASE READ AND UNDERSTAND THE FOLLOWING TERMS & CONDITIONS: 
 
*A valid credit card is required to reserve your spot in class.  Please arrive to class at least 10 to 15 mins prior to start or you may not be allowed to take your FIRST class!
 
12-hour Cancellation Policy:
Late Cancel Fee:
If you are an Unlimited member you will be charged a $15 Late Cancel fee. All Group, Monthly, and First $5 class members will not be charged for a Late Cancel, but will forfeit their class under the noted cancellation period. 
No-Show Fee:
All Members will be charged $20 for a No-Show and forfeit that class under the noted cancellation policy.  No Exceptions. Instructors and Classes are subject to change without notice. You are paying for the class not the instructor. Please ALWAYS check our LIVE Schedule prior to booking your class!!

WHAT OTHER POLICIES IF ANY SHOULD I BE AWARE OF?

  • A valid Credit Card, Billing, Phone & Email address is required to book any class or purchase membership and/or session packages. This is required to BOOK your FIRST CLASS (You will be charged a $20 fee and forfeit your session if you are a NO-SHOW  to your FIRST class).
  • A class will be canceled if no one has enrolled 30 minutes prior to class times. So please always check our Live Schedule.
  • All classes must be prepaid and signed up for through our online system. This INCLUDES YOUR FIRST CLASS
  • Instructors and classes are subject to change without notice.

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO TALK TO SOMEONE ABOUT SCHEDULEING CLASSES AND TO LEARN HOW TO USE THE ONLINE BOOKING SYSTEM?

Someone is usually available during class hours. We recommend all of our members to get familiar with our online booking system. It is the easiest, fastest and most accurate way to book classes. If for any reason you forget your password or need more info. Please call or email us.

HOW DO I BECOME AN UNLIMITED MEMBER, BUY PACAKGES & SIGN UP FOR CLASSES?

We have found a user friendly on-line system where you can be in complete control of your schedule and classes. You will be asked to create a user profile, login & password. Once you create an account you can view our live class schedule, buy packages or become a monthly member. Once you are a member to sign up for classes you will visit the Mile High Pilates+ site and click on the tab labeled live schedule. You will then be asked for your login and password.

 
Walk-ins are welcome; however scheduling online guarantees you a spot in class. Please keep in mind that if you don’t arrive 10 minutes before scheduled class time your space may be given away to a walk-in. Please check in at the front desk upon arrival so we can get you signed in and if you are new to Pilates + we can give you a tour of your Megaformer.
